New Delhi: The Medical Fair event conducted by Messe Dusseldorf – India every year for the past 25 years sees medical device manufacturers, traders, startups, innovators and conglomerates come together for 3 days of what we may call the Kumbh Mela of medical devices. 2019 is the 25th year of Medical Fair and over 4,00,000 visitors and over 1000 manufacturers, traders and service providers congregated at the Medical Fair conducted at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone being the one and only integrated eco system for medical devices drew huge response in this fair. The visitors were particularly drawn towards the common scientific facilities that have been established and the AP government policies that offer much more than any state or for that matter a common SEZ offers. Many manufacturers from different parts of country have shown interest in setting up their manufacturing facilities at the zone. This would not only contribute to the Make in India Initiative but also creates thousands of jobs in this sector for the youth.

The Kalam Institute of Health Technology, a policy making body funded by the Government of India, based out of AMTZ took this opportunity and conducted the first technology mela displaying emerging technologies in the field of Medical devices on the 22nd February.
