Mumbai: Apollo Hospitals has announced twin conferences – International Patient Safety Conference and Revolutionizing Healthcare through IT – to be held in Mumbai on 1st and 2nd December 2017. Apollo Hospitals Group over the past 6 years has collaborated with eminent speakers and international agencies to bring together best of minds and applications under patient safety and adoption of technology in the healthcare system.

Gracing the occasion, Dr Deepak Sawant, Minister of Public Health & Family Welfare, Government of Maharashtra and Dr Pradip Vyas, Health Secretary, Government of Maharashtra will address the opening remarks at the 7th International Patient Safety Conference 2017.

This year, the patient safety event will focus on defining strategies for patient safety improvement and imparting technical knowledge on various patient safety areas. Patient Safety experts across the world would be participating to share their knowledge and experience. Apart from covering presentations, panel discussions, poster presentation the conference will also display the most widely accepted Patient Safety Tools.

The 7th International Patient Safety Conference 2017 will focus on the various issues including the Joint Commission International: Hospital Design to improve patient safety; Indian Medical Association: Involving Physicians in Patient safety and quality improvement; Searching for perfect healthcare system, Macquarie University Australia: Human factors and patient safety, Accreditation: A tool of continuous quality improvement; World Health Organization (WHO): National Patient Safety Implementation Network; Data Analytics: How Data analytics is being used to identify opportunities for improving patient safety?; Plenary: The Big Debate: The patient is always right; and Infection Control: Medical travel, prevention and control of emerging infectious diseases.

The other event is focused on technology and its role in transforming healthcare i.e. the 8th Edition of Revolutionizing Healthcare with IT 2017 (RHIT) organized by Apollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation. RHIT 2017 is a comprehensive two day interactive sessions / educational programmes featuring over 50 international and national speakers. This year, the conference will cover elements of technology that will revolutionize healthcare in India in the near future. These include, telemedicine, eHealth, remote patient monitoring, virtual hospitals, mHealth, Healthcare Apps, Medical Devices etc.
