Cabinet approves MoU on MedTech regulations within BRICS nations

New Delhi: The union cabinet chaired by Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi has given its approval for signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of regulation of medical products for human use amongst the medicine regulatory agencies of the BRICS countries.

The signing of MoU would facilitate better understanding about the regulatory aspects between the parties and could help in increasing India’s export of medical products to BRICS countries.

As per latest reports, the BRICS countries continue to be a lucrative market for medical devices companies. The better coordination between the member nations could help them to learn and evolve a streamlined regulatory system.
