Ahmedabad: India is constantly focusing on improving pharma output and processes through PLIs, stronger R&D capabilities, increased digitization and faster adoption of technologies like automation and robotics, which are the modern-day growth enablers.
In line with this, Pharma Pro&Pack Expo 2023, analytica Anacon India and India Lab Expo conducted this year’s first roadshow on ‘Pharma Engineering – A Way to Enhance Productivity, Quality & Compliance’ in Ahmedabad. The event witnessed a panel discussion on the latest pharma manufacturing trends and was headlined by leading pharma manufacturers and industry experts.
This event brings the best of the machinery manufacturers, laboratory

The event not only brings industry experts, leading companies and machine manufacturers under one roof for business interactions but also enables discussions on pressing pharmaceutical issues through its networking multi-city roadshows.
Exciting engagement at the buyer-seller networking tables
Apart from the panel discussion, one of the main attractions at the roadshow was the buyer-seller networking program. It allowed the exhibitors to build prior networks before the main
show in Hyderabad. Some of the key exhibitors who benefitted from this program included
Ami Polymer, ACZET, Kyra International, Fabtech Technologies, Ayuda India, ESA Software and Automation India, Mack Pharmatech, Allegro Global, PCI Analytics, Exenity Systems and Snowbell Machines.
The roadshow was organized in collaboration with Indian Pharma Machinery Manufacturers’
Association (IPMMA).
Speaking about the success of the roadshow, Harshit Shah, President, IPMMA, said, “Pharma machinery sector is the key collaborator in the pharma industry’s success. We are overwhelmed with the response to our first roadshow where industry experts touched upon some of the key pharmaceutical manufacturing issues related to improving quality and efficiencies, reducing production costs, etc., and suggested the way forward to overcome these issues through extensive use of advanced pharma machinery.”
Prashant Sharma, Chief Technical Officer, Zydus Group, said, “I am glad to be invited to be
part of such a wonderfully organized panel discussion. The interaction was thought-provoking, and I am looking forward to more such discussions at the main event in
Hyderabad.”
Avisha Desai, Business Unit Head – Consumer & Capital Goods and International Business,
Messe Muenchen India, said, “Indian pharma industry’s progress relies on technological
developments in the pharma machinery sector. With this view, we conducted our roadshow
on pharma engineering and received an overwhelming response with 145 attendees from the pharma industry. Our distinguished panelists shared their insights and recommendations on how new-age pharma technologies can be employed for higher output. With the advent of automation and digitization in new pharma machinery, pharma manufacturing companies
have the advantage of innovating and staying ahead of the competition. We are proud to be
featuring these high-quality pharma machineries in our upcoming edition of Pharma Pro&Pack Expo 2023 in Hyderabad in September. Our last event, co-located with analytica
Anacon India and India Lab Expo, was highly successful with more than 16000 visitors and we are hoping to surpass this in the upcoming edition.”
