Aparna Reddy K, COO, AIMSR; Dr. K. Manohar, Dean, Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences & Research; along with the faculty from the Institute and parents of students, were present to catch a glimpse of the momentous occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. K J Reddy said, “Visionary legend Dr. Prathap C. Reddy transformed healthcare in India, placing our nation on par with those offering world-class medical care. As you begin your journey, draw inspiration from his ideals of compassion, excellence, and innovation. Medicine is not just science; it is empathy in action. Patients approach you in distress; your words and reassurance often begin their healing. Communication is key, a doctor who listens well diagnoses better and earns trust. Build your career on a strong foundation of knowledge and a commitment to continuous learning.”
“The medical field evolves rapidly, and staying updated ensures your patients always receive the best care. Equally vital is your own health. A sound mind and body are essential for a fulfilling career. Follow the mantra of a balanced diet, good sleep, and regular exercise. Today, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the world of medicine. Embrace it. Those who resist will risk redundancy; those who adapt will redefine success. AI, when used wisely, can enhance your diagnostic acumen, precision, and patient outcomes, making you not just a good doctor, but a great one. Finally, nurture curiosity and a spirit of innovation. Keep asking how you can make care better for your patients. That mindset will keep you relevant, respected, and remembered, as a true healer of tomorrow,” added Dr Reddy.
Dr. K. Manohar said, “As you don the white coat and take your solemn oath, you are not merely wearing a symbol, but embracing a lifelong commitment to compassion, ethics, and excellence. This day reminds you of the core values that define every true medical professional, dedication to lifelong learning, unwavering ethical practice, and the pursuit of the best patient care. These are not just ideals, but daily responsibilities that will shape your journey ahead. As you strive toward these goals, remember that the path can be demanding. The pressures of this profession are real, and stress can challenge your well-being. Make it your priority to care for yourself as you care for others, by nurturing a healthy lifestyle, practicing mindfulness, and building resilience.”
Aparna Reddy K, called it a defining moment in the lives of the Class of 2025 students, the beginning of a noble and life long journey in medicine, as you don your white coats for the first time. “Remember it’s not merely a garment, but represents you commitment to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, to respect the autonomy and dignity of every patient and to provide compassionate and evidence based care. You are about to embark on a journey filled with discovery, challenge and growth, supported by the world class education, cutting edge research opportunities and a nurturing environment that will enable you to become the best version of yourself.
