New Delhi: GlobalLogic has inaugurated a new STEM Lab at Bharatiya Vidyanikethan High School in Bengaluru. This initiative is part of the company’s #EducateToEmpower campaign, aimed at equipping students with essential skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) to prepare them for the evolving job market.
The STEM lab is set to serve as a hands-on learning environment, allowing students to engage with advanced technologies like robotics, coding, and artificial intelligence. This facility aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, making STEM subjects more accessible and engaging, particularly for students from underprivileged backgrounds.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior government officials and key members of GlobalLogic’s leadership team, including Madhusudan Murthy, Senior Vice President and Head of Engineering, and Monika Walia, APAC Head of CSR.
Madhusudan Murthy emphasized the importance of this initiative in shaping the future workforce. “The inauguration of this STEM Lab is a testament to GlobalLogic’s commitment to empowering the next generation of innovators. By providing students with immersive, hands-on experiences in cutting-edge technologies, we are equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in a world driven by digital transformation,” he stated.
The lab is expected to benefit approximately 1,000 students in grades 5 to 10, fostering critical thinking and confidence. Additionally, the program includes capacity-building initiatives for teachers, ensuring that educators are well-prepared to guide students in exploring new technologies.
Monika Walia highlighted, “This initiative reflects GlobalLogic’s mission to create equitable access to quality education. Through this STEM Lab, we are not just teaching students about science and technology; we are inspiring them to think critically and creatively, preparing them for the challenges of tomorrow.”
This project aligns with India’s National Education Policy (NEP 2020), which underscores the importance of integrating STEM education into school curricula. Through this initiative, GlobalLogic is contributing to the government’s vision of empowering young minds with the skills necessary to excel in an AI-driven future.
