PULSUS Group to invest ₹300 crore in AI-based pharma healthcare IT hub in Ameenpur

New Delhi: The PULSUS Group has unveiled plans to develop an AI-based Pharma Healthcare IT Hub in Ameenpur, Sangareddy, Telangana, with an investment of ₹300 crore. This project aims to reshape the healthcare and IT sectors, creating an estimated 50,000 jobs and significantly boosting the local economy.
The announcement was made by Dr. Srinubabu Gedela, CEO and Managing Director of PULSUS Group, at the 73rd IPC Congress, an annual event for pharmacists in Hyderabad. Initial projections suggest that the hub will directly create 10,000 jobs within its operations and generate an additional 40,000 jobs indirectly through various supporting industries and services.
Dr. Gedela highlighted, “This AI-powered hub will be aligned with the IPC congress theme “Role of Indian Pharma: For Global Wellbeing”. By integrating the most advanced artificial intelligence, we aim to streamline processes, enhance precision in drug development, and improve patient outcomes. This positions Telangana at the forefront of healthcare innovation in India.”
The project will incorporate innovative AI technologies to enhance all facets of the pharmaceutical industry, from research and development to healthcare delivery. This will not only advance the sector but also provide significant employment opportunities for local communities.
Situated in the IT/ITeS Zone of Ameenpur, the hub will benefit from top-notch infrastructure and connectivity. The Telangana government and the Software Technology Parks of India are providing strong support, emphasizing the project’s strategic importance.
Hyderabad’s pharmaceutical industry contributes over 40% of bulk drug manufacturing. The city is recognized as the “Bulk Drug Capital of India” and the “Vaccine Capital of the World.” Hyderabad’s focus on innovation, infrastructure, and inclusive growth has paid off, with Telangana ranking second in manufacturing according to the Innovation Index Rankings 2022 and boasting the highest per-capita income in the country for 2022-23.
