New Delhi: Siemens Healthineers has announced the launch of the Atellica CI Analyzer, India’s first AI-enhanced eco-friendly multi-testing diagnostic system, at Mahajan Imaging & Labs.
The Atellica CI Analyzer is designed to process over 200 parameters covering 20 disease states, enabling comprehensive diagnostics from a single compact unit. The device leverages microvolume technology to maximize test yield from minimal sample volumes, a crucial feature for pediatric and critical cases where sample volume is limited. Critical tests can be completed in 14 minutes—significantly faster than the conventional 22 to 40 minutes—while emergency assays can yield results in just 10 minutes, providing swift support for urgent medical needs.
The analyzer also includes advanced tests like the Enhanced Liver Fibrosis (ELF) test, which plays a vital role in the early detection and management of liver disease. This is particularly important given that India accounted for 18.3% of global liver health-related deaths in 2015. Other specialized tests include preeclampsia screening for pregnant women and a range of oncology markers for early cancer detection.
In addition to these features, the analyzer offers advanced diagnostics with a range of parameters that include FMF-approved dual markers for maternal screening, AMH for evaluating ovarian reserve, active vitamin B12, and ferritin testing focused on women’s health. Oncology markers that help in the early detection of cancers, such as PSA for prostate cancer and tests for ovarian cancer, are also supported. Furthermore, the system tests for active vitamin D levels, adding to its versatility in health monitoring.
In line with sustainability goals, the Atellica CI Analyzer utilizes less water and fewer tubes, reducing plastic waste and supporting eco-conscious healthcare practices. The analyzer has received FDA approval, underscoring its adherence to international standards of safety, effectiveness, and reliability.
Dr. Harsh Mahajan, Founder & Chief Radiologist of Mahajan Imaging & Labs, expressed, “Being the first to implement the Atellica CI Analyzer is a significant milestone for us and further strengthens our foray into pathology and integrated diagnostics. By combining the ELF test with the High-End ultrasound-guided Fibro scan, we can very precisely know the current functional and structural status, and predict the onset of Liver disease, non-invasively.”
Ranabir Sinha, Head of Diagnostics for Siemens Healthineers in India, highlighted, “With the introduction of Atellica CI Analyzer in India, we are proud to partner with Mahajan Imaging & Labs in their foray into pathology and laboratory diagnostics. Installation of this innovative solution, powered by AI, reflects our shared vision of leveraging advanced technology to augment and enhance the capability of healthcare professionals and improve healthcare outcomes.”
Dr. Shelly Mahajan, Lab Director and Clinical Lead at Mahajan Imaging & Labs, emphasized, “We have rigorously validated the analyzer over the last 5 months in our reference lab at Mahajan Imaging & Labs. The analyzer helps us to enable predictive care to the patients, secure data, ensure a quick Turn Around Time (TAT) all while reaching environmental goals. This new analyzer is not only a game-changer for current diagnostics but ensures streamlined workflow and precise diagnostics. The analyzer is equipped with a Laboratory Evaluation Suite and delivers inspection-ready reports. This forward-thinking approach ensures that we remain at the forefront of diagnostic innovation, continuously improving patient care standards.”
