New Delhi: India’s healthcare sector is undergoing rapid digital transformation, driven by technological advancements and economic growth. According to the latest “SME Digital Insights” study by Tata Tele Business Services (TTBS) in collaboration with Cyber Media Research (CMR), 33% of healthcare SMEs are harnessing the power of big data analytics to achieve diagnostic breakthroughs, while 31% are utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to streamline operations and accelerate drug discovery efforts.
The study highlights cloud technology as a central force in this digital evolution. With 40% of surveyed healthcare SMEs recognizing cloud adoption as a key factor in enhancing security compliance, the cloud is proving to be a game-changer for healthcare and pharmaceutical businesses. It offers improved efficiency, optimized costs, and secure data management, enabling these companies to navigate the fast-changing healthcare landscape effectively.
TTBS has been at the forefront of driving digital transformation within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors by delivering innovative cloud-based solutions. One example involves a fast-growing diagnostic and precision medicine company that required a secure, private network to link its dispersed branches. TTBS implemented an MPLS-based Smart VPN, creating a seamless connectivity grid between hub and spoke locations, supported by an active dual last mile using TTBS’ Smart Internet leased line.
In another case, TTBS helped a pharmaceutical company with 11 locations in India and an office in Germany establish a scalable and secure communication network. By deploying an MPLS Hub and Spoke topology with centralized internet management at the data center, TTBS ensured secure and efficient connectivity across all branches.
Cloud adoption is reshaping healthcare SMEs by automating tasks, centralizing data management, and streamlining workflows. This allows these businesses to focus more on research and patient care, while also reducing costs by eliminating the need for expensive hardware and ongoing maintenance.
As healthcare SMEs continue to embrace cloud technology and partner with trusted digital advisors like TTBS, they are unlocking new opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and patient-centric care. This technological shift is positioning them for long-term success in an increasingly dynamic and competitive healthcare landscape.
