New Delhi: Online Chikitsa Mitra has announced its expansion into Maharashtra with the establishment of over 100 e-clinics. This strategic move aims to address significant healthcare challenges in the state, particularly in underserved areas such as Nashik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Jalgaon, Ahmedanagar, Sangli and others.
Maharashtra, known for a high prevalence of lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, affecting millions of people, is struggling with healthcare accessibility issues across its 30+ districts.
Online Chikitsa Mitra’s innovative approach leverages local medical stores as e-clinics, equipped to facilitate teleconsultations between patients and specialist doctors from across the country. This setup ensures that residents in remote regions receive specialized healthcare services without the inconvenience of traveling long distances to the nearest hospital, often situated over 50 kilometers away.
Smriti Tandon, Co-founder of Online Chikitsa Mitra, highlighted, “Maharashtra is one of the most preferred states for medical treatments, yet quality medical care is largely confined to urban centers like Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur. Over 30 districts in the state still struggle to receive quality healthcare locally, without having to travel long distances. This is precisely the issue that our e-clinics aim to address.”
She further emphasized, “In order to widen our presence in the state, we are also actively seeking partnerships with local medical stores, who can help us on our long-term mission to make healthcare an everyday reality for Indians, and not a distant dream.”
Online Chikitsa Mitra currently operates over 500 e-clinics across 14+ states in India and plans to extend its reach further through initiatives like free health check-up camps across Maharashtra. These efforts aim to familiarize communities with digital health assessments and consultations, ensuring comprehensive healthcare outreach across the state.
