New Delhi: Bharosa has launched India’s first dedicated patient experience platform. This innovative initiative aims to tackle the issue of big tech neglect, offering patients a secure space to share their experiences and reviews of medical professionals.
“Indian patients are itching to speak out but are neglected by big tech. Bharosa aims to solve that problem by creating a dedicated experience-sharing platform for patients,” said Vandit Jain, Co-founder & CEO of Bharosa. “We want to become the Glassdoor for Indian healthcare, which is such an obvious solution to the problem, yet no one thought about it because they don’t see patient experience as a problem.”
Dr. Amit Gupta, Co-founder & Chief Medical Officer, emphasized, “Indian patients are struggling to find the best doctor. They don’t trust anything online, and most medics have gamed the review system, making it extremely challenging for patients to know the full picture.”
Bharosa’s first phase involves a hyper-local launch in Gurgaon, allowing patients to submit detailed feedback and reviews about doctors while maintaining their anonymity. Each review is verified through proof of visit, such as a prescription copy or invoice, to ensure accuracy and trust.
Nidhi Bharani, Co-founder and Chief AI Officer highlighted, “Our AI integration and development is in full swing, and you will see us recreating search and discovery in the next three months.”
To further support the patient community, Bharosa has allocated INR 5 lakhs to patient causes and reimburses prescriptions up to INR 500 for patients who share their experiences on the platform.
The feedback and reviews management software market, valued at USD 10.11 billion in 2024, is projected to reach USD 28.04 billion by 2031, growing at a CAGR of 13.60% from 2024 to 2031, according to Verified Market Research (VMR).
In a world where reviews guide decisions on everything from gadgets to restaurants, the Indian medical industry lacks a dedicated patient feedback platform. While many sites and apps provide doctor reviews, Bharosa intends to become the go-to review platform for the Indian healthcare sector.
Although Bharosa is not involved in the referral and booking system for doctors, it remains to be seen how this new review platform will impact the healthcare landscape.
