Gurugram: Ansal University hosted the Cardiovascular Technology Conference in collaboration with Medanta-Medicity at hospital premises in Gurugram. The event focused on cardiovascular-related concerns such as imaging (i.e. CT angiography, ECG/TMT, and echocardiography), intervention, arrhythmias and pacing, prevention, and improving the trained workforce to save lives. The conference served as a unique platform for cardiac technologists and novice researchers from various institutions to share and exchange new clinical studies and advancements dealing with cardiac diseases.

Prof Monica Chaudhry, Director, School of Health Sciences, Ansal University said “We are much enthusiastic and joyous to see Medanta willing to contribute to the cause. We are delighted to build this association. The university believe passion is not all a student requires to strive for their ambitions. It has to gel with the right opportunities and facilities, only then it could serve as a ladder to success. And we, at AU, choose to be that ladder, offering them every stair they require to climb and build their success from. We let our students imbibe and experience real-life medical situations as we provide them with cardiovascular equipped labs. It further helps them in becoming familiar with the profession they are about to step in”.

Ansal University widened its approach and provided the students with hands-on practical experience along with the exposure to cardiovascular equipment.
Giving a laboratory experience to students will promote a higher success rate of the cardiovascular concerns, as the professionals entering the industry will be familiar with the equipment already. The awareness about cardiac care is gradually increasing with time, and Ansal University aimed to promote the sector better through endeavours such as the conference. The university also offers courses in health sciences to construct a better future for the aspiring students.

Dr Naresh Trehan, Chairman and MD, Medanta said, “There are nearly 50 crore people who require healthcare. The sector remains in demand and will eventually affect the future. The industry of healthcare is swarming with opportunities, it carries a lot of scope, but everything ultimately comes down to amenities and what they plan to accomplish with them. Cardiovascular technology is flourishing eventually, and it further enables us to create clinical practitioners, brightening the future that stands ahead of the medical industry. Medanta supports Ansal University in their venture and will do the needful to encourage growth, education and success in the sector.”

Prominent dignitaries such as Dr. Naresh Trehan, Dr. Awadhesh Kumar, Dr. R. R. Kasliwal and Dr. Sanjay Mittal among others were engaged in the conference, encouraging awareness and enriching the discussion.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Ravi R Kasliwal, Chairman – Clinical & Preventive Cardiology of Medanta said, “Associating with Ansal University, we plan to introduce modern-day techniques and digital education for students to absorb and hone their skillsets from, which further helps them in providing quality care to patients. The varied approach would empower learning and heighten the productivity of the sector and the overall performance of the students. We aim to discover viable ways to mend patient care and meritoriously contribute to the ever-changing medical industry. The collaboration primarily enables us to cultivate an assemblage of skilled clinical practitioners who further address the intensified demand of the cardiology assistance and medical sector.”

The conference concluded as a huge success, contributing its bit to the sector of medical sciences.
