Apollo Clinic - Vaccination Campaign
New Delhi: Apollo Clinic has initiated a nationwide vaccination campaign aimed at combating diseases and illnesses commonly associated with the monsoon season.
The campaign will offer 10 vaccinations, and 10 tests specifically designed to address monsoon-related health issues. The initiative targets patients across all 102 Apollo Clinics nationwide.
An Apollo Clinic spokesperson emphasized, “Every year, during monsoon season, we have seen news highlighting the rise and spread of several diseases. This includes dengue, malaria, influenza, seasonal flu, etc. These disease outbreaks lead to a high influx of patients at several medical institutions and disrupt common people’s lives as well. Keeping this in mind, we decided to launch this campaign to reduce this disease burden this year. We are confident that we will be able to help our patients live happier and healthier lives through this season.”
According to a World Health Organization (WHO) report, India is among the top 30 countries most affected by dengue. Additionally, a report from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) highlights that diseases such as typhoid, dengue, malaria, scrub typhus, and influenza have become significant public health concerns over the past two years. The report indicates that typhoid affects approximately 4.5 million people annually in India, resulting in around 9,000 deaths.
In response to these challenges, Apollo Clinic’s health campaign will offer comprehensive services, including consultations, lab investigations, and radiology tests for common illnesses like viral fever, influenza, seasonal flu, stomach infections, leptospirosis, and rashes. The clinics will also provide immunizations for vaccine-preventable diseases and special comprehensive fever testing packages for illnesses such as dengue, malaria, typhoid, and chikungunya. The fever panel includes tests like Complete Blood Count, Malarial Antigen, Widal Test, Complete Urine Examination, Dengue IgM & IgG, Dengue NS1 Antigen, and Typhidot – IgM, among others.
The health package is available at all Apollo Clinics until August 31, 2024. Appointments can be booked online through the clinic’s website or by visiting a nearby clinic.
