Dr Bipin Chevale takes the helm as CEO of Gleneagles Hospitals, Mumbai

New Delhi: Dr Bipin Chevale has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gleneagles Hospitals in Parel, Mumbai. Previously, he served as Director and Head at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Navi Mumbai.

Announcing his new role on LinkedIn, Dr Chevale expressed his enthusiasm, “Together with the talented and dedicated team at Gleneagles, we aim to raise the bar even higher for excellence in healthcare. Looking forward to leading this incredible team and driving forward exceptional patient care and innovation.”

Dr Chevale brings over 23 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Before his position at Gleneagles Hospitals, he held various leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer at Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai and General Manager of Operations at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Andheri. He also served as CEO and Zonal Director of S.L. Raheja Hospital, was a Fortis Associate, and spent 11 years as a Medical Superintendent at Bombay Hospital.

Dr Chevale holds a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Hospital and Healthcare Management from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and completed the Senior Management Programme (SMP) at IIM Calcutta.

In his inaugural remarks, Dr Chevale highlighted Gleneagles Hospital’s reputation as a leading multi-organ transplant destination in western India. “Joining Gleneagles Hospital Mumbai is an exciting opportunity that promises a new chapter in our motto of world-class healthcare under one roof,” he stated. 

He emphasized the hospital’s commitment to improving clinical outcomes through the latest technology and tailored treatment plans. “Our mission is to be a beacon of hope, providing quality healthcare that is accessible to all, and to heal all who enter Gleneagles Hospital Mumbai,” Dr. Chevale added. The hospital is known for its expertise in performing complex surgeries, including liver, heart, kidney, and lung transplants, as well as neuro and oncology surgeries.
