Bhopal: DRiefcase, a leading digital health solutions provider, has announced the implementation of a QR code-based fast-track OPD token generation system at AIIMS Bhopal under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
This innovative system aims to replace the traditional registration method, allowing patients to book and generate OPD tokens online, eliminating the need for long queues at government hospitals.
Previously, patients had to endure long waiting times in queues to obtain their OPD tokens. However, with the implementation of the OPD QR code system, patients can now instantly generate their OPD tokens. By creating an ABHA or linking their existing ABHA in any ABDM-approved ABHA app, such as DRiefcase, patients can scan the OPD QR code and share their details with hospitals to generate their tokens. These steps can be easily followed on the DRiefcase app, enabling patients to generate an OPD token in less than a minute.
DRiefcase founder Sohit Kapoor, speaking on the occasion, said, “Our vision is to build an integrated digital health-tech infrastructure for India, and the seamless implementation of QR code-based OPD token generation is another step in the right direction. We have successfully executed this framework in over 90 hospitals across India, generating 400,000 OPD tokens per month. We are excited to implement fast-track OPD token generation in Bhopal under the ABDM. At DRiefcase, we are committed to providing secure, easy-to-use access to personal health records, empowering individuals and families to take control of their health.”
He added, “The new system has been implemented in AIIMS, Bhopal and we hope that other government hospitals also take up this initiative which is spearheaded by the National Health Authority.”
This implementation is part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), a national initiative aimed at digitizing the healthcare sector in India. The ABDM seeks to create a unified digital health infrastructure, making healthcare access and management easier for patients. The implementation of fast-track OPD token generation aligns with the ABDM initiative’s goal of leveraging technology to enhance healthcare services in Bhopal. It represents a significant step forward in improving patient experiences and fostering a more patient-centric healthcare ecosystem.
DRiefcase remains committed to continuous innovation and collaboration with stakeholders to drive positive changes in the healthcare landscape. Working with the NHA, State Governments and local authorities, DRiefcase aims to create a sustainable model for improved healthcare access and delivery.
