New Delhi: Fortis Hospital Mulund in collaboration with The Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons (IAGES) hosted the Fellowship of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (FALS) in Oncology from August 23 to 25, 2024.
The three-day intensive program aimed to elevate the knowledge and skills of surgeons in advanced laparoscopic techniques, emphasizing excellence in Minimal Access Surgery (MAS).
The prestigious training event welcomed 150 doctors from across the globe and covered a wide array of topics, including oncology surgeries, laparoscopic procedures, and robotic surgeries. Participants had the opportunity to witness live demonstrations of cutting-edge minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures, providing hands-on insights into the latest advancements in the field.
Dr. Anil Heroor, Head of Department and Senior Consultant in Surgical Oncology at Fortis Hospital Mulund, who chaired the event, expressed, “The training comprised of 38 modules across various subspecialties of MAS oncology which was taught over two days. We have tried to get together the best faculty in the field to share their knowledge, experience and skills in this second physical offline course. Every year new technologies are introduced in Surgical Oncology, and it is very important for medical practitioners to keep themselves updated on the same.”
