New Delhi: The Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA) will host the 11th edition of the Global Pharmaceutical Quality Summit (GPQS) on February 23–24, 2026, in Mumbai, under the theme “Reimagining Pharma Operations – Talent, Technology and Trust.”
J. P. Nadda, Hon’ble Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers, will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural session. Dr Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, Drugs Controller General of India, will present the inaugural remarks. The opening industry address will be delivered by Nilesh Gupta, Managing Director of Lupin and Chair of the IPA Quality Forum, while the concluding address will be given by Manoj Joshi, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals.
The Summit stands as a premier platform for thought leadership, collaboration and knowledge exchange, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality excellence. The theme underscores the industry’s transition from viewing quality as a regulatory obligation to embedding it as a core organisational culture. By nurturing skilled talent, harnessing advanced technologies and strengthening trust, the sector is redefining quality standards to meet rising global expectations and enhance operational resilience.
This year’s edition will feature around twelve high-impact sessions led by eminent speakers, including representatives from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency and the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, along with global industry and consulting experts. The programme will include a CEO panel discussion, dedicated sessions with CIO and CTO leaders, and insights from advanced manufacturing and technology experts, with a strong focus on AI-enabled and digitally integrated operations that encourage cross-sector learning.
The Summit will also mark the release of two IPA Industry Best Practices Guidelines designed to strengthen quality and compliance across the pharmaceutical value chain. These include guidelines on best practices in logistics and transportation worthiness for pharmaceutical product packaging, and best practices in sustainability within the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, IPA will introduce a Lifetime Achievement Award in Academia to recognise outstanding contributions to pharmaceutical science and quality, as well as a Hackathon Winning Presentation to spotlight innovation and emerging talent in quality advancement.
Sudarshan Jain, Secretary General of the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance, said that quality remains the foundation of the pharmaceutical industry and the most important promise made to patients worldwide. Through the 11th edition of GPQS, IPA seeks to reimagine the future of quality by focusing on the intersection of talent, technology and trust. He noted that the insights emerging from these deliberations will help shape future-ready quality and operations frameworks and reinforce India’s position as a trusted global pharmaceutical partner.
