LHIF by MeitY Nasscom CoE: Spotlight on AI’s Transformative Role in Healthcare and Lifesciences

New Delhi: The 14th edition of the Lifesciences & Healthcare Innovation Forum (LHIF) commenced at Bengaluru, bringing together thought leaders, technologists, clinicians, policymakers, and investors to explore the theme: “AI Disrupt: Transforming Diagnosis, Discovery & Delivery.”

Organized by MeitY – K-tech Nasscom Centre of Excellence, LHIF comes at a pivotal time when AI is redefining the healthcare landscape—from early diagnosis to drug discovery, medical device innovation, and digital care delivery.

The event opened with a welcome address by Sanjeev Malhotra, CEO of Nasscom CoE, followed by high-impact keynotes featuring industry leaders from Novo Nordisk, Amgen, and Baxter, who shared insights on the current and future direction of AI in healthcare.

Dr. Triveni MG, Director, Health & Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of responsible AI integration in public health infrastructure.

Panelists explored how AI is improving healthcare delivery in underserved regions and enabling early interventions impacting the accessibility of healthcare

Event also featured a deep dive into how generative AI is being applied for drug discovery, supply chain optimization, and pharmacovigilance, featuring leaders from GSK, L’Oréal Lifesciences, Sravathi AI, and GAVS. Insights from R&D and Engineering heads, Clinicians and AI innovators at Danaher, BPL Medical, Aravind Eye Care Systems, and Remidio on the intersection of AI and hardware innovation.

VCs and investment leaders from 314 Capital, Mavin Ventures, Ankur Capital, and Speciale Invest discussed the funding landscape, key challenges, and the promise of healthtech startups.

The forum also featured the finale of HIC#6 (Healthcare Innovation Challenge), recognizing standout digital and AI adoption use cases from leading institutions such as HCG and Sankara Nethralaya and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute.

Disruptive innovation showcases were held throughout the day to spotlight emerging startups and their cutting-edge solutions in diagnostics, AI-powered analytics, and medtech.

LHIF 2025 reaffirmed the growing momentum around India’s AI-driven healthcare ecosystem, and the collaborative role of startups, enterprises, policymakers, and investors in shaping a future that is affordable, accessible, and intelligent.
