New Delhi: To promote the adoption of drone technology in agriculture, Marut Drones is providing no-cost pilot training to first-time buyers. Customers who register by October 31 can participate in this comprehensive training program, which includes a DGCA Certified Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) valid for ten years and a complimentary set of batteries valued at Rs. 47,000.
As the peak agricultural season begins in October, Marut Drones aims to make drone technology more accessible to farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs. The training, which typically costs Rs. 42,000, will cover vital topics such as DGCA regulations, drone data analysis, and hands-on training with Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and simulators. The 5-day program is designed for individuals interested in offering drone services or spray applications, ensuring that participants acquire the necessary technical skills for operating agricultural drones.
“Most drones in the market are designed for a single purpose, such as pesticide spraying. Recognizing the challenges faced by farmers, we have developed the first multi-utility drone, the AG365. Much like a tractor, this drone can be adapted for various tasks simply by changing its attachments, allowing for a better return on investment,” said Prem Kumar Vislawath, CEO and Co-Founder of Marut Drones.
He added, “Marut aims is to provide entry-level support for individuals looking to embrace drone technology and achieve financial independence. A drone entrepreneur using Marut Drones can earn anywhere between Rs.40,000 to Rs.90,000 / month, enabling him/her to work in the comfort of his home making a positive impact on farmers.”
The AG365, Marut’s Made in India Kisan Drone, is designed for Indian agricultural conditions and offers a 22-minute endurance. It has undergone extensive testing over 1.5 lakh acres and features advanced obstacle and terrain sensors for safe operations in challenging environments.
The drone is equipped with multiple payloads and one AG365 can be used for various applications, including pesticide spraying, broadcasting granules and running RPTO drone training academies. Both the AG365 (Medium Category Drone) and AG365S (Small Category Drone) have received Type Certification from the DGCA.
Marut Drones is also offering financing options and after-sales support, along with comprehensive insurance for the AG365, providing customers with additional security. The government of India also offers subsidies for drone purchases, making this technology even more accessible for farmers.
By focusing on developing agricultural drones that reduce crop loss and enhance yields while lowering agrochemical usage, Marut Drones aims to support farmers and contribute to the overall growth of the agricultural sector in India.
