New Delhi: The Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration, Hyderabad, in collaboration with the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO), successfully hosted the two-day SAKCON 2025 (Student Annual Knowledge Sharing Conference) at AIMSR Auditorium and Bhavanam Venkataram Auditorium, Dr. BRAOU University in Hyderabad.
The 32-year-old institution under Apollo Hospitals Education & Research Foundation brought together leaders from healthcare, academia, and sustainability to deliberate on the theme “Sustainability & Green Healthcare.” The official souvenir of SAKCON 2025 was also released on the occasion.
Vijay Agarwal, President of CAHO, highlighted the growing reach of SAKCON, noting that this fourth edition saw participation from 45 institutions across India. Prof. Vijaya Rudra Raju, Principal and Conference Chair, shared that the event welcomed over 500 delegates, 200+ research submissions, and more than 100 abstracts, alongside insights from leading healthcare professionals.
The conference was inaugurated by Prof. Ganta Chakrapani, Vice Chancellor of Dr. BRAOU, with Dr. L.V.K. Reddy, Registrar, as Guest of Honour. Dr. Karan Thakur, Head of Corporate Affairs & Sustainability, Apollo Hospitals, delivered the keynote address. Pre-conference workshops were held across KIMS Hospitals, Continental Hospitals, and Aster Prime Hospitals, followed by high-impact panel discussions.
Speakers included healthcare leaders from Apollo Hospitals and Quality Care India Ltd., sustainability experts such as Dr. Karan Thakur, Keerthi D’Souza, and Sanjeev Shiva, and academicians including Prof. Raman Saxena (IIT-K, IIIT-H). Together, they explored pathways for advancing green healthcare practices in India.
Selected research papers were presented during the conference, with winners awarded at the valedictory ceremony, graced by Prof. I. Anand Pawar, Dean, Dr. BRAOU, as Chief Guest, and Dr. Ramesh Martha, NIMS & Govt. of Telangana, as Special Invitee.
