New Delhi: CPHI has announced the winners of the 2024 CPHI Pharma Awards, recognizing the achievements across 14 categories in the global pharmaceutical industry. This year’s awards, which spotlight innovation, leadership, and contributions to healthcare, introduced two new categories: Future Leader and Woman of the Year.
Megan Smyth of Almac Sciences won the Future Leader Award for advancing five levels in seven years and for developing an innovative flow chemistry platform. Her recognition as a UK Research and Innovation Future Leaders Fellow highlights her leadership potential.
Julia Tsetis, CEO of OFET Pharmaceutical Group, received the Woman of the Year award for her dynamic leadership and commitment to innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility, making her one of Greece’s influential women in business.
Guy Clark, CEO of CNX Therapeutics, was named CEO of the Year for transforming CNX from a loss-making unit to a profitable entity with £50 million in revenues and over 20 products marketed in 50 countries. His strategic oversight of three acquisitions and licensing deals has positioned the company for growth.

Unistraw’s compostable UniLayer Straw Delivery System won in Finished Formulation for its innovative delivery method, enhancing patient compliance while using fully compostable materials.
RheaVita’s continuous freeze-drying system was awarded Manufacturing Excellence for allowing aseptic GMP production of biopharmaceuticals. This technology enables faster drug market entry and superior product quality while reducing costs.
Smurfit WestRock’s Cere®Screen Digital Display Label won for integrating digital screens into clinical trial packaging, enhancing information richness for participants and improving accessibility.
Prodigy from ProPharma Group received the Regulatory and Compliance award for its AI-driven applications that solve productivity challenges in pharmaceutical development, effectively reducing delays and enhancing asset value.
Acu-Flow Ltd’s Nebu~Flow® nebulizer earned the Start-Up Initiative Award for generating a soft aerosol with a high inhalable fraction that aerosolizes biological formulations, overcoming respiratory drug delivery limitations.
QYOBO GmbH took the Supply Chain Excellence award for its platform providing vital insights into global supply chains, helping companies manage and mitigate risks and preventing drug shortages.
Evonik Industries AG won the Sustainability Award for PhytoSquene®, a plant-based alternative to shark-derived squalene, promoting biodiversity with a sustainable source derived from amaranth oil.
