Delhi to host People’s Festival of Innovations 2024 from 25-29th November

The event will witness participation by about 50 grassroot deeptech startups

New Delhi: The latest annual edition of People’s Festival of Innovations (PFI) is all set to be held from 25th to 29th November at India International Centre, Delhi. The event will witness participation by about 40 grassroot deeptech startups.
PFI 2024 aims to celebrate, accelerate, and scale the most promising deep-tech and grassroots innovations from India, addressing unmet social needs in an incredibly affordable manner.
This will be a gathering of industry leaders, young entrepreneurs, professionals, and experts from industry and academia, where we discuss the latest trends, innovations, and challenges facing in life sciences industry.
The festival is curated and mentored by visionaries who have significantly impacted the field of innovation. Dr. Renu Swarup: Former Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology; Prof. Anil Gupta: Founder, Honey Bee Network, SRISTI, GIAN & NIF, Visiting Faculty, IIMA, IITB, Academy Professor, AcSIR; Dr. Swati Basu: Former Scientific Secretary, O/o PSA; and Dr. Taslimarif Saiyed, Director and CEO, C-CAMP, Bengaluru.

Apart from the inaugural session on the first day, the second day will witness the session, Enabling Policy Framework for Promoting Innovations’ moderated by Dr Renu Swarup and Prof. Anil Gupta. The panelists include Mr. Shrivastava, Director, IIC, Dr. D.K. Agarwal, Registrar General, PPVFRA, and Dr. Anna Roy, Principal Economic Adviser, NITI Aayog.
The session, ‘Promoting Product Innovation’ will be moderated by Dr Taslimarif Saiyed where the discussion on Ecosystem Enablers will have panelists Prof. Ashwani Pareek, Executive Director, NABI; Dr. Jitendra Sharma, MD & Founder CEO, AMTZ and Ms. Suman Gupta, COO, RCB. Another discussion on Building Scalable Innovation Models will include panelists Dr. Rohit Srivastava, Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, IIT Bombay; Dr Suphiya Khan, Deputy Director, Shriram Institute for Industrial Research; Dr Vanita Prasad, CTO, REVY Environmental Solutions; and Prof. P. V. Madhusudhan Rao, Dept of mechanical engineering and design, IIT.
The five-day long festival will feature grassroot innovations and exchange of thoughts on a variety of subjects related to innovation models.
