CSR: Emcure supports education for students from EWS

New Delhi: To support underprivileged students, Emcure Pharmaceuticals is sponsoring the higher education of 57 college students in Pune. As part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, Emcure Pharmaceuticals will cover 80% of the college fees of these academically brilliant but economically weaker students.

The shortlisted students are pursuing various courses at the Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce. Emcure’s association with the institution started seven years ago with providing need-based financial support to students who are unable to meet the fee requirement owing to their financial conditions. This initiative is a conscious effort by Emcure to support the brilliant minds of tomorrow during the most critical phase of their education.

An exhaustive annual screening process forms the basis of selecting the most deserving candidates. Over the last seven years, about 150 students have benefited from this program.
