Global conference on Medicine and Meditation to be held at AIIMS, Delhi

AIIMS-Delhi, Heartfulness and AIIA come together for one-of-a-kind integrated health and wellness conference

New Delhi: All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences, Heartfulness and All India Institute of Ayurveda are organizing a unique integrated health and wellness large-scale conference themed ‘Medicine and Meditation – Elevating Healthcare through Humane Values and Spirituality’ for three days between 23rd to 25th August at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.
The event is to be graced by Sarbananda Sonowal – Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, Waterways and AYUSH; Meenakshi Lekhi – Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture of India and Dharmendra Pradhan – Union Minister of Education and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship as Chief Guests. The Guests of Honour to the event are Mansukh Mandaviya – Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare; and Rev. Daaji – Spiritual Head of Heartfulness, President of Ram Chandra Mission and Padma Bhushan Awardee.
The three-day conference aims to create a platform for academicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, and spiritual practitioners to explore the symbiotic relationship between medicine and spirituality. The event delves into the crucial role of humane values, Indian spirituality, and meditation in elevating the healthcare system to new heights. The conference will have keynote and plenary sessions, meditation sessions, talks and poster presentations, breakout and interactive sessions. The conference is intended for physicians, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, healthcare professional students, researchers in traditional well-being practices, and seekers of reflective learning and wisdom practices. At least ten overarching themes have been designed for the event from addressing the limitations of current medical care and education to medical ethics to emotional and mental well-being among others.
Rev. Daaji – Spiritual Guide of Heartfulness, President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission and Padma Bhushan awardee said, “Physical wellness is strongly connected with spiritual wellness. Integrated health and wellness has begun to gain ground as scientists and physicians have begun to see how holistic wellness is interconnected. A lot of research has been happening with the involvement of Heartfulness Institute as well in this direction with collaborations of reputed international universities. This conference highlights the importance of scientifically backed holistic wellness and I am very happy to see the level of participation and support from the Govt. as well.”
