Nephro Care launches 100-bedded Vivacity Multispecialty Hospital in Kolkata

The new facility marks a Rs 36.51 crore investment in advanced healthcare with state-of-the-art AI-equipped OTs and ICU capabilities

New Delhi: Nephro Care India Limited (NCIL) has inaugurated its new 100-bedded Vivacity Multispecialty Hospital in Madhyamgram, Kolkata, marking a significant advancement in healthcare infrastructure in East India. This state-of-the-art facility, set up with an estimated investment of Rs 36.51 crore, is the first hospital in the region to feature AI-enabled smart operation theatres (OTs) and intensive care units (ICUs).
The project’s funding includes Rs 26.17 crore from the net proceeds of NCIL’s recently completed initial public offering (IPO), with the remaining amount covered through internal accruals. Vivacity Multispecialty Hospital is designed to offer comprehensive treatment services across various medical disciplines, including cardiology, medical oncology, gastroenterology, gynecology, and an advanced renal transplant unit.

With a focus on cutting-edge medical services and patient-centric care, Vivacity will have first-of-its-kind AI-enabled smart OTs and ICUs in the eastern region, thereby setting new benchmarks in healthcare delivery space in the country.”
The hospital includes a 30-bed Critical Care unit, encompassing ICU, HDU, RTU, and NICU facilities, and aims to provide extensive diagnostic services through a central pathological lab. Additionally, Vivacity will offer advanced dialysis facilities with a 30-bedded dialysis center and a sophisticated OT setup with five modular operation theatres, a minor OT, and a Cath lab equipped with Laminar Air Flow and HEPA filters.
Vivacity is also set to offer specialized mother and child care services through a dedicated unit and will run 10 outpatient departments (OPDs) to manage outpatient footfall. This new facility underscores Nephro Care India’s commitment to advancing healthcare in the region and providing high-quality, accessible medical services.
Deepak Parekh-backed NCIL recently completed its IPO with resounding success, listing at Rs 171 per share, a 90% premium over the fixed price band of Rs 90. The company’s stock became the first to register more than 2 crore shares awaiting purchase amidst a bumper opening.
