Prof. PK Garg appointed new Executive Director of THSTI, Faridabad

New Delhi: Prof. Pramod Kumar Garg has been appointed to the post of Executive Director, Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), Faridabad with effect from 14th February, 2021. Prior to this, he is serving as Professor, Department of Gastroenterology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

Prof. Garg’s major clinical and research interests are in pancreatic diseases. He has published more than110 articles including several seminal papers in his area of interest with an h-index of 36. He has mentored a large number of GI fellows and many PhDs. He is the Secretary of the ‘International Association of Pancreatology’. He is currently an associate editor of the international journal ‘Pancreatology’ and is on the editorial board of many other international journals. He is a fellow of the National Academy of Science, National Academy of Medical Sciences, and Royal College of Physicians (Glasg). He has received many awards including the Basanti Devi Amir Chand Award from the Indian Council of Medical research.

Dr Garg has been invited by many international organizations of repute from around the world to deliver lectures. He serves on the project review committees of the Department of Biotechnology and the Department of Science and Technology.
