New Delhi: UE LifeSciences, a pioneer in innovative breast cancer screening technology, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rotary Club of Mumbai Nova and Rotary District 3141, one of the top districts in the Rotary world.
Effective July 1, 2025, this transformative partnership aims to conduct 100,000 breast cancer screenings for underserved women across Mumbai, breaking down barriers to critical healthcare access and ensuring early detection for those facing challenges in accessing vital medical services.
Building on a successful collaboration between UE LifeSciences and Rotary that has already provided early breast cancer detection to over 50,000 women, this expanded program will significantly amplify these efforts, bringing accessible and affordable gold-standard care directly to communities that need it most. The screenings will utilize UE LifeSciences’ FDA-cleared iBreastExam, a revolutionary, radiation-free device that provides immediate, objective results, making early detection simpler and more widespread.
“We are incredibly excited to lead the charge in early detection through this vital partnership,” said Rtn Ram Kotak, Group Avenue Head and member of Rotary Club of Mumbai Nova. “Our commitment to community health aligns perfectly with UE LifeSciences’ innovative approach. Together, we are poised to make a profound difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of women, empowering them with the knowledge and care they deserve” said Rtn Dr Manish Motwani, District Governor, Rotary District 3141
Starting July 1, 2025, screening camps will be strategically conducted by more than 125 Rotary Clubs under District 3141 throughout Mumbai. These camps are designed to reach women who may lack the time, resources, or proximity to traditional healthcare facilities, ensuring that early detection, a crucial factor in successful breast cancer treatment, is no longer out of reach.
Gauri Navalkar Godse, Director and CEO, India, UE LifeSciences, stated, “This expanded partnership with Rotary Club of Mumbai Nova & Rotary District 3141 is a testament to our shared vision of a future where early detection of breast cancer is a universal right, not a privilege. We are thrilled to leverage our technology to empower more women with life-saving screenings and contribute to a healthier Mumbai.”
This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to public health and the belief that every woman deserves access to life-saving early detection services, regardless of her socio-economic background or geographical location.
