New Delhi: D2F Services, operating under the brand name AgriWings, is set to transform agricultural practices in India by spraying 1.5 lakh acres of land using drones this season.
As the only drone-based chemical spraying service provider in India with ISO certifications, AgriWings has already benefited over 2,500 farmers by spraying more than 20,000 acres of land last season. This initiative primarily targets the states of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh.
AgriWings is at the forefront of replacing conventional spraying methods with modern drone-based techniques, significantly improving health safety for farmers and boosting farming efficiency and productivity. Their innovative approach not only mitigates health risks but also conserves water and increases crop yield.
This season, AgriWings aims to spray 1.5 lakh acres of land, creating over 2,000 user bases and targeting 30,000 farms. To achieve this, they have deployed 60% of their drone fleet and partnered with other network service providers through a franchise model. This strategy also promotes rural entrepreneurship, offering better livelihood opportunities for certified drone pilots and farmers.
“We have already sprayed over 20,000 acres of land in the past season and now look forward to attaining an even larger feat,” said Vidur Varma, CEO of AgriWings. “By mitigating manual spraying methods, farmers are protected from contracting diseases, a significant amount of water is conserved, and overall crop yield increases sharply.  ‘We have even deployed 60% of the total 100+ drones, for the purpose, from our fleet, and are very hopeful to harness desirable results.”
