FUJIFILM donates Rs 6 million in medical equipment to Wayanad landslide victims

The donation includes advanced DR X-ray and ultrasound systems to support overwhelmed Wayanad Government Medical College

New Delhi: In response to the devastating landslides in Mundakkai, Wayanad, which have claimed over 300 lives, FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation and its subsidiaries have pledged announced a donation of Rs 6 million worth of medical equipment. 
FUJIFILM India will provide the Wayanad Government Medical College, Mananthavady, Wayanad District with crucial medical equipment, including an ultra-portable DR X-ray system and an ultrasound diagnostic system. The donation addresses the urgent need for diagnostic capabilities at the facility, which is currently overwhelmed by the influx of patients requiring treatment.
Koji Wada, Managing Director of FUJIFILM India, expressed, “My heart goes out to the families and all the people who lost their lives and many who are receiving treatment, as a leading healthcare company, I felt it is my duty to support the public health system that is rendering its services to the people affected by this natural calamity. We pray for everyone’s speedy recovery and hope that our Portable DR X-Ray System along with the Ultrasound Equipment will mitigate the stress that Wayanad Government Medical College, Mananthavady is currently undergoing.”
