New Delhi: HCAH has announced a partnership with Aroa Biosurgery, a New Zealand-based soft-tissue regeneration company, to launch the ‘WOW (Warriors of Woundcare) Nurses’ program.
This initiative is set to revolutionize wound care management, with a specific focus on preventing and treating bedsores, also known as pressure ulcers, which are a common and painful issue for patients with limited mobility.
The WOW Nurses program is a major step forward in enhancing patient care by preventing complications caused by bedsores, which are known to slow recovery times and increase the risk of severe infections. HCAH’s partnership with Aroa Biosurgery, a company renowned for developing advanced medical and surgical products to improve healing in complex wounds, will introduce new product lines specifically designed to treat vascular and diabetic wounds. These innovations are expected to significantly improve patient recovery rates.
Vivek Srivastava, Founder & CEO of HCAH, noted, “Nurses are at the heart of patient care, and the WOW Nurses will undoubtedly become champions of wound care, ensuring a superior patient experience and expediting the healing process.” The WOW Nurses, certified in advanced wound care management, will proactively use the latest techniques and best practices to prevent and treat bedsores, which are a significant barrier to patient recovery.
Bedsores have long been a challenge in healthcare settings, particularly for patients confined to beds for extended periods. Research has shown that pressure ulcers not only prolong hospital stays but also lead to increased healthcare costs and patient discomfort. HCAH’s new initiative aims to achieve ‘zero bedsores’ by equipping its nursing staff with specialized international training in wound care management.
Dr. Gaurav Thukral, Co-Founder and COO of HCAH, stated, “Our aim is zero bed sores, and the introduction of ‘WOW Nurses’ is a key step towards this goal. This initiative enhances patient recovery, reduces complications, and improves comfort. Our recent study, published in the International Journal of Science and Research (IJSR), showed that 64% of pressure ulcer cases were grade 2, with 62% of patients seeing significant improvement. These findings reinforce the importance of timely intervention, tailored care, and ongoing education in effectively managing pressure ulcers.”
HCAH’s investment in advanced training for its nursing staff includes expert-led sessions from New Zealand on using Aroa Biosurgery’s Endoform and Myriad products. These technologies aim to reduce the time, cost, and effort associated with wound care, enabling more efficient use of nursing resources., expressed his support for HCAH’s commitment to post-surgery care, particularly for patients with bedsores, and praised the certification program as a critical component of their collaboration.
