New Delhi: Honeywell has introduced the Honeywell Quality Management Review (HQMR), a new application designed to improve the oversight of quality management systems (QMS) within the life sciences industry. HQMR is part of Honeywell’s broader strategy to align its portfolio with key megatrends, including automation, by digitalizing and optimizing operations to increase productivity.
The traditional Quality Management Review (QMR) process, critical for regulatory compliance in industries like pharmaceuticals and medical devices, can be labor-intensive, time-consuming, and costly. To address these challenges, Honeywell has developed HQMR, a solution that removes inefficiencies and provides near real-time, intelligent insights to streamline the QMR process.
“Quality Management Review is crucial for assessing the effectiveness and performance of an organization’s quality system, helping manufacturers deliver the safest and best products possible,” said Martin Dowdall, Vice President and General Manager of Connected Life Sciences at Honeywell. “This new solution helps transform the traditional QMR process into a more insightful and actionable practice, ensuring organizations adhere to regulatory guidelines with ease.”
HQMR is designed to meet the evolving needs of modern manufacturers by offering streamlined processes and intelligent workflows. The application enables operators to make better-informed decisions while reducing the time and resources required for data analysis. With HQMR, companies can consolidate and summarize data from various sites to create a high-level overview of overall QMS performance across multiple facilities.
Life sciences sectors, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and biotechnology, are expected to benefit from improved quality compliance and efficiency through Honeywell’s advanced Quality Management Software.
Emilia Castellucci, Group Head of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at Inspiration Healthcare, an early adopter of HQMR, praised the solution. “The HQMR app already shows outstanding potential to reduce cycle times in generating management review presentations and standardizing the reports,” she said. “The solution’s features integrate easily and repeatably with other business management systems and have quickly proven to provide better quality data than our current system.”
