Lakshmanan Krishnakumar and Sonia Singh join Pfizer as Independent Directors

New Delhi: Pfizer Limited has appointed Lakshmanan Krishnakumar and Sonia Singh as Independent Directors on its Board, effective immediately. The appointments bring a wealth of experience from diverse sectors, further strengthening Pfizer’s strategic direction.

Lakshmanan Krishnakumar is a seasoned finance professional with a robust career spanning across consulting, engineering, hospitality, retail, and consumer industries. With qualifications as a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, and Company Secretary, he spent two decades in senior leadership roles within the Tata Group, including as Senior Vice President of Finance at Indian Hotels Company. Krishnakumar currently serves as Non-Executive Chairman of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited and holds a directorship at Infiniti Retail Limited.

Sonia Singh, a renowned marketing expert with over 33 years of experience, has played pivotal roles in shaping and building brands across several major industries. During her tenure at Hindustan Unilever Limited, she served as General Manager of Marketing for the Lakmé Business Unit, driving the growth of the cosmetics, personal care, and salon businesses. Singh’s career also includes leadership roles at Nokia, Pepsi, Friesland Foods, and Heineken. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Singh is currently an Independent Director on the Boards of BASF India Limited, Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited, and Bharat Forge Limited, among others.
