Tenet Diagnostics to invest Rs 100 crore for Karnataka expansion

Agreement signed with Ohio University, Siemens healthcare & United Imaging to study technology and scan data resulting in reduced scanning time for patients and more accurate results

New Delhi: Tenet Medcorp with the brand name Tenet Diagnostics, a leading national Integrated Diagnostics chain with its presence in eight states and 25 locations across India, is all set to invest Rs 100 crore in Karnataka expansion.
The move will boost access to the latest technology and infrastructure in Diagnostics, Laboratory services and preventive healthcare in the state.
With this investment, Tenet diagnostics will double its presence in Karnataka from the current 5 to 15 by 2025. It’s five centres in Bengaluru are located in Jayanagar, Sadashivanagar, Indiranagar, Marathahalli and Whitefield. Two centres in Mysore and Mangalore will be operational by the end of 2023. Tenet Diagnostics will also add 1500+ skilled jobs to its current 150+ doctors and 800+ technicians employee base. This will take its total workforce tally to 2500+ dedicated staff serving the healthcare needs of the community.
Speaking on the occasion, D Suresh, Chairman of Tenet Diagnostics says, “we started in 2018 with a mission to transform the Indian diagnostics industry by introducing the latest technology and infrastructure in Radiology and Laboratory services. We wanted Tenet Diagnostics to be the main reference lab in South India, stopping all specialty tests from going to Mumbai and North India. Till date, we have catered to over 50 lakh+ patients and processed 1.5+ crore tests with one of the largest test menu in India with close to 3000+ blood tests. We have also done onsite screening for 1000+ corporate hospitals and MNCs across India.”

Elaborating on the expansion plans, Devineni Sricharan, Executive Director of Tenet Diagnostics explains, “we started with one centre in Hyderabad in 2018 and have since expanded to Karnataka, AP, Telangana, Maharashtra, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and UP. Tenet Diagnostics has registered a 100% turnover YOY and we plan to touch Rs. 150+ crore this year. Karnataka is instrumental in our growth story. We plan to invest 100 crore to start 15 centres providing advanced PET-CT, Gamma Camera, MRI, CT, Laboratory services, Ultrasound, X-ray, 2D echo, TMT, PFT, Mammography, ECG,EEG, ENMG, Audiometry, OPG, Corporate screening, Hospital lab management and preventive healthcare packages.”
“We have also collaborated with the Ohio State University and signed groundbreaking master research agreements with industry leaders such as Siemens and United Imaging. The study focused on using latest technology including AI and scan data in devising advanced Radiology and Pathology techniques for solving complex clinical challenges. One of the outcomes was reducing the scanning time for patients by 50% thus improving customer experience. We will continue to partner with various players to leverage technology, research and resources to set new benchmarks in the diagnostics and laboratory services,” he adds.
