Venture Center’s BIG Conclave 2018 set to be held in Pune on 27th July

New Delhi: The Pune based Venture Center is hosting the ‘BIG Conclave 2018’ on 27-28th July 2018 in the city’s famous National Chemical Laboratory, an institute of Council for Scientific and Industrial Research. The Biotechnology Ignition Grant or in short BIG is the flagship program of the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC).

The BIG Conclave is the annual get-together of the BIRAC Biotech Ignition Grant (BIG) community including BIG Grantees, BIG Partners and BIG Program Managers.

BIG is India’s largest early stage biotech startup funding program. Over 250 entrepreneurs have been supported till date, and over 50 products or technologies have been developed.

Since this will be a gathering of the who’s who in biotechnology and biomedical entrepreneurship and innovation, it is a great opportunity for the startups to get benefitted out of it. They can earn about the future of BIG and bio-innovation, bio-entrepreneurship in the country from the leaders at the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and BIRAC (namely, Dr Renu Swarup, Secretary DBT, Dr Md Aslam, MD, BIRAC, Prof AK Nangia, Director, NCL).

The potential participants can attend an innovator showcase that will put forth various cutting edge biotechnologies developed by the many start-ups supported by BIRAC. There is an opportunity to network with over 100 entrepreneurs, mentors, incubator managers from across the country.

Venture Center is India’s leading inventive enterprises incubator hosted by CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune and mentored by the NCL Innovations team. It won the National Award for TBIs in 2015 from the President of India. More recently, Venture Center has received the AABI (Asian) Incubator of the Year award fro 2018.
