New Delhi: On World Heart Day 2025, Philips India announced a series of initiatives to strengthen awareness, access, and action for heart health across the country.
As part of this effort, the company will conduct more than 50 advanced training sessions for over 1,000 healthcare professionals, covering key areas such as CT, MR, and structural heart disease. These nationwide cardiac masterclasses are designed to enhance clinical expertise through a blend of pre-learning modules and hands-on training.
In parallel, Philips is launching an eight-part video series, Straight from the Heart: Every Beat Counts, which will bring together leading cardiologists and healthcare experts to discuss prevention, early diagnosis, and long-term care, encouraging individuals to take charge of their heart health. On World Heart Day itself, the company will also partner with the Child Heart Federation (CHF) for an awareness session in New Delhi led by Dr. Vikas Kohli, Founder Trustee of CHF, focusing on congenital heart disease. The program will highlight stories of children who received timely care and convene pediatric cardiac specialists to discuss ways of strengthening pediatric cardiac care in India.
Philips is also extending its commitment internally by organising a cardiac care and preventive health session for its 9,000 employees, led by Dr. Srinivas Prasad B.V., Additional Director Cardiology, Fortis BG Road, Bengaluru.
“Heart health is one of India’s most urgent healthcare priorities,” said Bharath Sesha, Managing Director, Philips Indian Subcontinent. “Beyond technology, our mission is to empower doctors with skills and tools, equip families with knowledge, and make timely care accessible to all. Every initiative we drive is guided by one belief: every heartbeat matters. Together, we can build a healthier India.”
Through these efforts, Philips aims to raise awareness, drive prevention, and support healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to tackle the rising burden of cardiovascular disease.
