Apollo Diagnostics expands with new high-tech Lab in Kasba, South Kolkata

The 140th processing facility boosts diagnostic capacity and introduces advanced health checkups with over 3,000 test options

New Delhi: Apollo Diagnostics has launched its 140th processing lab at Kasba in South Kolkata. The state-of-the-art lab, covering 1,500 square feet, is designed to handle over 25,000 samples each month.
It offers a comprehensive range of tests, from routine diagnostics to specialized analyses, and includes home sample collection services. With the ability to perform more than 3,000 tests and offer various preventive health checkup packages, the new lab aims to meet the rising demand for high-quality diagnostic services in the region.
Equipped with fully automated instruments and adhering to NABL quality standards, the lab is committed to delivering accurate and precise results. It features specialized divisions in Hematology, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Serology, and Microbiology. The facility operates from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, catering to people across all age groups. Sriram Iyer, Chief Executive Officer of Apollo Health & Lifestyle Limited, emphasized, “Our new lab in Kasba helps us improve the turnaround time on reports and strengthens our position in the state of West Bengal. Patients can now receive world-class diagnostic services right her.”
Additionally, Devendra Singh Rajput, COO of Apollo Diagnostics, highlighted, “We have included a lot of preventive health check-ups to address problems like diabetes, hypertension and cancer diagnosis. We are coming up with a regional reference lab for East and setting up an almost 10,000 sqft facility with state-of-the-art molecular diagnostics as well as histopathology that will address more complex diseases like cancer. The investment will be of over 250 crores and the facility will be operational  by October 15.” 
This new facility, inaugurated by Javed Ahmed Khan, the Minister for Disaster Management & Civil Defence and MLA of the Kasba Constituency, marks a significant addition to Apollo Diagnostics’ network. With four other labs and 200 additional centers in West Bengal, Apollo Diagnostics continues to enhance its services and accessibility across the state.
