New Delhi: PDRL has launched BhuMeet, India’s first SaaS platform to connect farmers with drone service providers. This platform is set to streamline access to essential drone services like agricultural spraying and surveying, transforming the agricultural landscape in India.
With agriculture being a cornerstone of the Indian economy, BhuMeet offers a vital link for millions of farmers to find reliable drone services and optimize their operational workflows and service delivery. According to the World Bank, agricultural land in India spans over 1.78 million square kilometers as of 2021, and the National Statistical Office (NSO) reports that up to 90 million to 150 million farmers are actively engaged in agriculture.
As the world’s second-largest producer of food grains, fruits, and vegetables, India’s use of drones in agriculture extends to crop monitoring, precision farming,  irrigation management, and more. Recent discussions at the G20 Agriculture Deputies Meeting have further emphasized the importance of digital and climate-smart agriculture, further boosting the role of drone technology in the sector.
Speaking on the launch, Anil Chandaliya, Founder and CEO of PDRL, said, “As India continues to embrace advanced technologies to revolutionize its agriculture sector, we at PDRL are proud to introduce BhuMeet, a platform that will fundamentally change how farmers access essential drone services. By bridging the gap between farmers and reliable service providers, BhuMeet not only enhances operational efficiency but also empowers the agricultural community to harness the full potential of drone technology. We believe this innovation will set new standards in the industry and play a vital role in modernizing agriculture across the nation.”
This launch is part of PDRL’s broader vision of setting new standards in agricultural drone technology. Earlier, the company introduced AeroGCS GREEN in 2023, a homegrown software solution that now powers about 70% of type-certified agricultural drones in India. Following this, PDRL also launched AeroGCS Enterprise, a platform to manage large-scale drone operations, particularly in agricultural spraying.
The platform offers farmers a user-friendly interface to locate and hire drone operators based on service history and proximity, ensuring reliable service. For drone service providers, BhuMeet presents a business growth opportunity by expanding their customer base and streamlining service management.
Aligned with the government’s Kisan Drone Scheme, BhuMeet supports the initiative to modernize Indian agriculture by reducing labor and increasing efficiency through drone technology. BhuMeet offers a comprehensive set of features tailored to meet the diverse needs of the drone service industry.
For drone service providers, the platform simplifies service management, task assignment, and fleet utilization. Real-time updates and efficient resource allocation tools help providers optimize their operations, while service analytics and invoicing tools drive business performance.
Drone pilots benefit from clear task assignments and streamlined communication, allowing them to efficiently manage their workloads. Meanwhile, farmers can easily access reliable drone services, track real-time updates, and pay for services directly through the platform, providing a transparent and hassle-free experience.
