Sunpure secures patent for Curcuminoids Complex ‘CURCUBOOST’

New Delhi: Sunpure has achieved a milestone with the recent patent grant for its Curcuminoids Complex AKTIV C5, branded as CURCUBOOST®.
As per the company, this innovative compound offers enhanced bioavailability by combining five active components of turmeric, including Curcuminoids, Turmerone, and Polysaccharides, making it a breakthrough in turmeric-based health solutions.
The patent for CURCUBOOST® was initially filed in 2019 and officially granted in 2024 after undergoing a rigorous review process. This patent is valid until 2039, marking a major success for Sunpure’s Research Incubation Centre (SRIC) and Sunpure Extracts Private Limited (SEPL).

Sunpure’s CURCUBOOST® represents a scientific advancement by modifying the chemical composition of turmeric’s active molecules to improve bioavailability and efficacy. The addition of Turmerone and Polysaccharides to Curcuminoids has resulted in a more potent product, allowing formulators to use lower quantities while achieving higher absorption rates.
Principal Scientist, Singh from SRIC explained, “The present invention envisioned chemical composition modification of the active molecules of Turmeric to make use of Curcuminoids with better Bioavailability and increased efficacy by using two more additional ingredients Turmerone and Polysaccharides of Turmeric along with Curcuminoids.”
Sunpure’s new patented formula is expected to have widespread applications in various health products, offering a more effective solution to consumers seeking the benefits of turmeric.
