World Cancer Day: TGH Onco launches ‘Wall of Hope’ to raise awareness to battle cancer

New Delhi: TGH Onco Life Cancer Center has taken a significant step in the fight against cancer by unveiling the ‘Wall of Hope,’ a tribute to the courage and determination of cancer survivors and medical professionals.

This one-of-its-kind initiative features vibrant hand stamps of doctors and survivors on a flex, aiming to raise awareness about the deadly disease and emphasize the importance of early detection for timely intervention.

During the event, doctors held numerous placards with inspiring messages “Cancer Se Na Harenge, Ladkar Zindagi Jitenge” (We Won’t Give Up To Cancer; We Will Fight And Win Life), urging everyone to face cancer without fear. Doctors also highlighted how medical advancements have made it possible to effectively treat the disease, offering hope to countless patients.

Present on the occasion were Mr Sachin Deshmukh, Managing Director, Dr Santosh Sahu, Unit Head, Dr Ravi Wategaonkar, Director, Dr Gaurav Jaswal, Director, Dr Prashant Chandra, Dr Abhishek Purkaystha, Dr Jyoti Mehta, Dr Sarang Waghmare, Dr Vishwas Koul and other staffs of TGH Onco life cancer center.

Cancer remains a major health concern in India, with cases rising rapidly and late diagnosis being a leading cause of high mortality rates. Factors such as unhealthy lifestyles, pollution, tobacco consumption, and genetic predisposition contribute to the increasing burden of cancer. The need for awareness, early screening, and access to advanced treatment is crucial. In a unique approach to spreading awareness, TGH Onco Life Cancer Center has launched this initiative to motivate individuals to take charge of their health. The ‘Wall of Hope’  unveiled in the Hospital premises stands as a powerful symbol of unity, and medical progress in the fight against cancer.
