‘IKMC-2016’ being held at Hyderabad to showcase bioscience innovations

New Delhi:  About 70 to 80 technologies are expected to be showcased at the International Knowledge Millennium Conference, ‘IKMC2016’ being held on October 24 and 25, 2016.  This annual innovation conference of IKP Knowledge Park, will be held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Hyderabad, India.

The IKMC is an annual get together of innovators, startups, industry experts and policy makers to brainstorm on the path of unshackling and spreading the spirit of innovation. The theme of IKMC2016 is ‘Accelerating Innovation’. The 2-day conference will begin with the inaugural session on ‘Building Innovation Ecosystems – Role of Anchors’. This will be followed by panel discussions and workshops on how innovators and startups can equip themselves as they go ahead with their entrepreneurial journey and take their innovations global. One can visit the site here for registration and sponsorship details.

Interactive features of the conference include a technology showcase by close to 80 innovators and six domain-specific workshops around preparation of pitch decks, deciphering term sheets, establishing cross-border businesses, documentation for product certifications, and for pre-clinical and clinical trials. The event ends on October 25 with awards and the valedictory lecture.

As per the organizers, IKP Knowledge Park, the innovators who exhibit their technologies at the event ,will be waived off the registration fees. Apart from that the accommodation for these technology showcasing non-local innovators will be also supported by the IKP. The latter promotes advancement of technology-based innovators, entrepreneurs and startup companies. Going beyond identifying and funding promising startups, the IKP says, it helps them scale up rapidly by improving their access to mover-and-shaker networks, focused mentorship, designing growth-driven programmes to achieve long-term success.
