Sharda University scientists ranked among world’s top 2% by Stanford University

New Delhi: Sharda University has announced that 11 of its scientists have been named among the top 2% of scientists globally in a prestigious list released by Stanford University. 
The scientists from Sharda University are recognized for their contributions in diverse research fields, including binding materials and nanomaterials, plant biomass biotechnology, biofuels, breast cancer, bioenergy harvesting, bacterial biofilms, plant biomass, programming languages, and privacy and security.
To honor this significant achievement, Sharda University held a special felicitation ceremony, where the Chancellor, Mr. P.K. Gupta, and Pro-Chancellor, Mr. Y.K. Gupta, recognized the contributions of the distinguished scientists by presenting them with mementos and shawls. This year’s global list by Stanford University featured 2,23,153 scientists from various disciplines, placing Sharda’s researchers among an elite group of international innovators.
Chancellor P.K. Gupta remarked, “This remarkable achievement highlights the global impact of Sharda University’s research across multiple disciplines, underscoring the institution’s commitment to scientific excellence and innovation.”
Pro-Chancellor Y.K. Gupta shared similar sentiments, “Sharda University’s distinguished scientists’ tireless dedication and perseverance have not only earned them individual recognition but also elevated our university’s stature on the global stage.”
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sibaram Khara emphasized the societal benefits of the ongoing research at Sharda University, noting, “Our scientists are engaged in research that will contribute positively to both society and the nation. We will continue to strive for excellence and aim to accomplish even more in the future.”

The event was attended by key university officials, including Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Parmanand, Registrar Vivek Gupta, Director of Public Relations Dr. Ajit Kumar, and distinguished faculty members Dr. N.B. Singh, Dr. P.K. Singh, Dr. R.C. Kuhad, Dr. Saumya Pandit, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Dr. Piyush Kumar Gupta, Dr. Sushmita Banerjee, Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Dr. Krishna Kumar, and Dr. Arpita Roy.
